This website is operated by Sunil Kumar Jain J, trading as THE ACCESSORIES STORE and doing business as Giftology, a proprietorship registered in Karnataka, India.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. Our registered address and contact details are at the end of this page.

Information you give us:

• Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address
• Billing address and GSTIN, if you ask for a GST invoice
• The personalisation details you supply, such as names, initials, messages, dates and any photographs or logos you upload
• Any messages you send us by WhatsApp, email, phone or through a form on this site
• Account details if you choose to create an account, including a password we never see in readable form

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser type, operating system and screen size
• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Pages you view, links you click and how you reached our site
• Cookie and similar identifiers, described in the cookies section below

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you are under 18, please use this site only with a parent or guardian.

We use your personal data only for these purposes:

• To fulfil your order: to take payment, produce your personalised gift, arrange delivery and send you a receipt or invoice
• To contact you about your order: to confirm personalisation details, share a proof for approval, send tracking updates and resolve any problem
• To provide support: to answer your questions on WhatsApp, phone or email
• To meet legal obligations: to keep tax and GST records as required by Indian law
• To improve our website: to understand which products and pages are useful and to fix problems
• To send marketing, but only if you have signed up for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time

We rely on your consent for marketing and for optional cookies. For everything else we rely on the necessity of processing your data to perform the contract you entered when you placed an order, and on our legal obligations.

Names, messages, photographs and logos you supply for personalisation are used only to produce your gift and to show you a proof before production.

We keep these files for a reasonable period after your order so we can reprint if there is a problem or if you reorder. If you would like your artwork or photographs deleted sooner, ask us and we will remove them once we no longer need them for tax or dispute purposes.

Please do not upload photographs of other people without their agreement, or artwork you do not have the right to use.

Payments on this website are processed by Razorpay, which supports cards, UPI, net banking and wallets.

Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN and net banking credentials are entered directly with Razorpay and their partner banks. We never see, receive or store these details. We receive only a confirmation of whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference number.

Razorpay processes your data under its own privacy policy and under the standards set by the Reserve Bank of India and the card networks.

We share your personal data only with parties who need it to deliver your order or run this website:

• Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf
• Razorpay, which processes your payment
• Courier partners, who receive the recipient name, delivery address and phone number needed to deliver the parcel
• Communication tools such as WhatsApp and our email provider, when we contact you
• Our accountant and tax authorities, where the law requires it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Some of the services we use, including Shopify, store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, the transfer is made only to countries permitted under Indian law and to providers who are contractually required to protect your data to the standard set out in this policy.

We keep order records, invoices and related personal data for eight years, which is the period required for GST and income tax records in India.

Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is kept for a shorter period, generally up to 26 months.

When data is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses:

• Essential cookies, which keep your cart and session working. The site cannot function without these.
• Analytics cookies, which tell us how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Marketing cookies, which may be set if you arrive through an advertisement, so we can measure whether it worked.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it by law
• Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to
• Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period, and normally within 30 days.

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Order and customer data is held within Shopify's systems, which are certified to the PCI DSS standard for handling payment-related information.

Access to customer data inside our business is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and provide support.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

We send marketing emails only to people who have asked for them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

We may still contact you about an order you have placed, as those messages are necessary to complete the contract and are not marketing.
